Plan de vuelo (Flightplan) - Robert Schwentke (2005)

Jodie Foster, desgradiadamente para nosotros, llevaba unos 2 años sin aparecer por pantalla salvo ese papel secundario y no menos excelente en el film francés Largo domingo de noviazgo de Jeunet, y eligió Flightplan para volver. Estamos ante un thriller, bien llevado por parte del director, con tramos decentemente rodados, con actuaciones irregulares y después explicaré porque y con un guión que, permitanme decirlo, creo que es inverosímil, no es que sea rematadamente malo pero tampoco es bueno. Para empezar partimos de la premisa siguiente: una madre llamada Kyle Pratt (Jodie Foster)acaba de perder a su marido y junto a su hija suben a un avión hacia Nueva York para enterrar a su marido. En el transcurso del vuelo Berlin-Nueva York desaparece la hija de Kyle (Foster) que intentará encontrarla desesperadamente en todos y cada uno de los rincones del gigantesco avión. La madre desolada y presa del pánico, remueve donde sea para conseguir encontrar a su hija. Visto que las azafatas no le hacen excesivo caso, exige hablar con el Capitán Rich (Sean Bean) que tras muchas discusiones si realmente ella subió o no con su hija, autoriza que se busque a la niña. En ese momento aparece en escena también el agente de seguridad Carson (Peter Sarsgaard). A partir de ahi se complicará tremendamente la situación hasta casi poner en peligro la seguridad del avión y la de su tripulación.

En Flightplan hay varias cosas que no me convencieron. Para empezar su guión, que como he dicho antes no es rematadamente malo, pero es totalmente inverosímil. A parte de ello, el supuesto plan de vuelo me parece no solamente lleno de posibles problemas secundarios, sino que por su elevadísimo riesgo y su limitadisimo margen de error no me cabe en la cabeza como se llevó a cabo, es más, es que el plan me parece bastante estúpido y muy dificil de controlar. Aún así, el film me pareció entretenidísimo, lleno de momentos angustiantes, más o menos bien rodada, decentemente fotografiada, con una música por parte de Horner nada novedosa como es una triste costumbre en él últimamente, unos efectos digitales de 4 duros, etc...

Momentos como el enfrentamiento con los árabes es muy real y actual, en este tipo de situaciones en donde el terrorismo está en mente de todos, pero sin duda el momento por excelencia del film es la entrada de Jodie Foster hacia su asiento seguida del agente Carson y todo los ocupantes del avión levantandose y aplaudiendo mirandola como si se tratase de una chiflada, una enferma mental, fantástica escena.

La atmosfera de suspense en el film hay que reconocer que está conseguida.

La película tiene más de una referencia pero la más clara de todas es sin duda Panic Room de Fincher, justamente con Foster también, ya que a parte de las innegables similitudes en cuanto a trama y manera de presentar el suspense, también incluso diría que la dirección bebe del Fincher de Panic Room, guardando las distancias claro.

2 ejemplos claros pueden ser el plano secuencia digital que recorre los 2 pisos del avión guarda muchísimas cosas parecidas al de la cinta de Fincher cuando va desde el piso de arriba de la casa hacia la puerta en donde están los ladrones. Otro ejemplo sería el ralentí que se produce cuando Foster recuerda porque le sonaba una persona del avión, que a la vez nos recordó a todos esa bella y estilista escena de Panic Room cuando va a coge el movil Foster y se le cae una lampara y los ladrones empiezan a subir el piso. Ambas escenas también muy DePalmianas, aunque claro, la del film de Fincher está a años luz en planificación a la citada escena de el film del alemán. Sinceramente, en mi opinión, Panic Room es bastante mejor como film que Flightplan. Las actuaciones son irregulares. En cuanto a Jodie Foster, nada que acatar, está fabulosa, impresionante como siempre. Ojalá al año hiciese más películas. Una buena actuación No podemos decir lo mismo de Peter Sarsgaard, un actor que últimamente va de más a menos, recordemole en su estupenda actuación en El precio de la verdad, en cambio en Flightplan más ya que una mala actuación, casi habría que pensar en un serio error de casting. No se le ve cómodo en su papel, no actúa, simplemente se pasea por la pantalla. Decepcionante actuación de Sarsgaard para su incursión en el cine comercial. El resto, Sean Bean, Erika Christensen etc... pues cumplen con su función y poco más.

Tampoco me ha convencido su final, que lo esperaba que sorprendiera más o que fuera más perverso xD.

Una pelicula recomendable, mil veces mejor que cosas como Vuelo Nocturno de Craven aunque con más pretensiones, y que hará pasar una tarde fantásticamente tensa. Eso sí, el poster es horroroso.
