Brokeback Mountain arrasa en los premios

El film de Ang Lee presumiblemente ejemplar, sigue los pasos de su anterior y exitosa Crounching Tigger Hidden Dragon (de la cual prepara la esperada precuela), y parece que estamos ante algo maestro. La lucha entre la cinta de Ang lee y la de Clooney ya empezó en Venecia y llegará a los oscars, 2 films posiblemente casi perfectos en un mismo año. Sin olvidarnos de Munich, Crash, Match Point, A history of violence o Syriana. El 2005 ha sido un grandísimo año de buen cine.

Estos premios son de bastante fiabilidad, Heath ledger dicen que hace una de esas actuaciones remarcables en años, tanto él como Jake Gyllenhaal y Michelle Williams, sobre los 2 premios a A history of violence, ya lo dije en mi crítica sobre dicho film que Maria Bello, William Hurt y Ed Harris eran merecedores de premios. Sobre Witherspoon, desde Election de Payne ya dije que cuando quiere trabaja muy bien. Miyazaki vuelve a alzarse con premios en EEUU tras Spirited Away. Werner Herzog triunfa (como lo hizo en Sitges) con su documental (Grizzly Man) sobre un tío que se va a vivir con los osos al monte. Y WKW (Wong Kar Wai) gana (muy merecidamente por cierto) el premio a la mejor película extranjera por 2046, así como su exquisita fotografía de Doyle.

La cosa para mejor peli extranjera para que va a estar entre 2046, Paradise Now y Cache. Posiblemente 3 grandes pelis (2046 que la he visto sí lo es y las otras 2 lo parecen), pero esta gente ha visto OldBoy de Park Chan-Wook (se estrenó allí en el 2005) ? o simplemente la eluden por su violencia?.

Estos últimos premios apuestan más por Munich de Spielberg que por el trailer sinceramente pinta a obra maestra. Me alegro de ese premio merecidísimo para Paul Giamatti en una actuación asombrosa para Cinderella Man. También veo justos los premios para Crash. Lo que no me cabe en la cabeza es Mejor film extranjero: Kung Fu Hustle... esta gente ha visto cine extranjero? porque esto es como dar el oscar a mejor película a Rambo. En fin...
